The Wholesale Price Report provided information about a $3,500 manufacturer rebate for cash purchases, plus the wholesale price. By showing that I had knowledge of the deals available and the wholesale price, combined with the dealer's motivation to accept deals on the end of a model year, plus end of the month purchases in a relatively slow sales month, there was virtually no resistance to a reasonable offer and a car in stock that I was willing to purchase immediately. I learned that all 2009 Series 1 BMW's are currently priced with an 8% markup, excluding manufacturer rebates. The dealer quickly agreed to split their profit, as well as provide the manufacturer rebate. To help, I traded in my existing car and was knowledgeable about the approximate wholesale value that I was prepared to sell my car for. I'm looking forward to picking up my new car tomorrow. This is my second car purchase using CCC information and I have made back the membership fee many, many times over. | | |
