It was easy. Just emailed and said I want to spend cost + 5%. They actually did a little better if you can believe it. Very experienced sales representative; was helpful in explaining the new model.

Joel from Calgary, AB reported on Thursday, March 11, 2010, buying a 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class, and saving $6,000 off of MSRP.
Went to the dealership to look at the general make and model (Mercedes E350 4matic) and happened to find the precise color and interior that we desired of the four models available on the lot. The car has $1200 in additional equipment above what I ideally wanted, but was suitable in all regards. Went home, rebuilt the car using the CarCostCanada website, I contacted the salesman I dealt with the next day by email and offered precisely 3% over the dealer cost plus MRSP. As it turned out, I had incorrectly under priced the vehicle by $1000, the dealer countered noting that I had made incorrect assumptions, I re-countered $500 lower and the dealer agreed. Total discount 5.5% of MSRP. I should point out I did not include a trade in the deal, I made my offer on the second last day of the month (February) and indicated willingness to either take delivery before months end or the following week as well as to being open to taking incentive financing if that impacted the deal positively. Easiest buying I have ever done on the most expensive car I have ever bought.

Louis from Calgary, AB reported on Monday, April 13, 2009, buying a 2010 Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class, and saving $1,500 off of MSRP.
In the end the wholesale price provided here did not make much of a difference. The vehicle that I bought is one of the hottest on the market at the moment. Because of this it was not about the price, but about the salesman. I found one who was willing to deal, and wanted a sale. Other Mercedes dealerships would not deal with you unless you were willing to pay the sticker price. They did not seem interested at all in a sale.
