The local dealer is convenient to my home. Initially unwilling to negotiate down from retail list but once they saw the wholesale price report we quickly came to a price agreement.

George from Vancouver, BC reported on Tuesday, February 21, 2012, buying a 2012 Toyota Corolla, and saving $4,000 off of MSRP.
Offered and paid exactly 4% over dealer's invoice price with no haggling, for a total all-in of $24,607 cash for 2012 Corolla LE with premium package, including Toyota's current $2500 cash incentive and tax at 12%. Offered closer dealers (X2) a chance to match but they were not interested.

Toyota dealers do not negotiate, they are only willing to give you $500 off MSRP.

I used a car buying service to save time. They got me a good price from the fleet manager Romtin. With CarCostCanada's report I know it's a nice deal. Once I decided to buy, the fleet manager drove me to the dealership and I picked up the car. Simpler, quicker and easier. It's a positive experience.

Chose the dealer since it was the closest dealership from where we live. I just took the printed report to the dealership and did not have to go through the stressful negotiation exercise.
