Buying a 2011 Ford F-150, and saving $10000 off of MSRP.
I did not have to deal with a used car, but I think I will have done the same if I had one to exchange at that time.
I previously met with some dealers, I left my contact number and informed them on what I was looking for; I drive test and obtain some price (MSRP) and window stickers.
After making my mind up on the model and acccessories that I want, I build up a wholesale report from Car Cost Canada.
I ignore the 3% to 6% advice and offer $500.00 as a fair dealer profit on any vehicle, I add $500 to the wolesale price, beleive me they still make enought money on any sale...
I advise the 4 dealers that I previously met by "EMAILS" and send them copy of my Carcost report for the vehile I want. I received 3 positives answers...
The rest is your to deal with, I inform them that I already have 3 positives answers on my price right in front of me so whoever offer me something more will win.
Hope this helps.
