Buying a 2011 Acura MDX, and saving $8000 off of MSRP.
I was able to negotiate over the phone/by email, which gave me an opportunity to consider my position before responding.
Although I wasn't able to negotiate a further reduction in price (other than the $8,000 factor incentive), I was able to add additional options that helped bring the cost in line with that provided in the Wholesale Price Report. It very much helped the negotiation process, and made me feel comfortable with the final price.
