Start looking earlier and learn about the feature you like. Once you find the dream car, check a few dealers and get a feel for the sales person (how eager and flexible he his) and see how much he wants your business by asking and getting his best deal. Check your Carcostcanada site and look at their recommendations and arm with that go back and let him know that you have done your homework and you are ready to strike a deal if he can beat or at least match your Carcostcanada deal. | | |

However, I don't recommend accepting the CCC offered price from the pre-arranged dealers. In my case I was able to negotiate a much better price by obtaining multiple competitive quotes. The invoice cost provides an important baseline, but shouldn't be your only tool. I chose my dealer because I was very impressed by their responsiveness and honesty. I have already had a minor issue in need of service and they have been just as responsive post-sale, confirming my impressions. Please make sure you are comfortable with the people you are dealing with both in sales and in service. A good relationship makes the deal more pleasant, and improves your experience after the purchase. | | |

I received an e-mail from Car Cost Canada indicating a dealership had agreed to a price at a defined amount above the wholesale price. A dealer contact was also provided. The e-mail was received shortly after I ordered my Price reports. The next day I received an e-mail from a sales representative at the dealership as well as a telephone call and an appointment for a test drive was arranged. After the test drive and a discussion of the automobiles features a deal was made at the previously agreed price differential from the wholesale price indicated in my Car Cost Canada report. | | |
