I wanted to buy and visit Toyota and Honda dealerships but I was very disappointed at the attitude the sales reps had in regards to negotiating. Actually, there was no chance of that happening. Apparently, due to the shortage of supply, they are in a position to dictate price as it suits them saying that for each client unhappy with the process they get 5 lining up to pay whatever it takes. It only seems like the MSRP is the minimum they will accept because oftentimes the dealership adds options to the cars they have in stock to boost their profit. And again, when asked why would I buy options I don't want, the answer is, to order a specific model and wait an additional 8 to 10 months for the delivery. I've decided to put off the purchase until the market becomes more customer-oriented and not driven entirely by the arrogance and greed of car companies.

The Sales Person was customer oriented and very pleasant.

Hard to get the actual unit price of extra items, like winter tires and actual discount. Technique used is to talk only about monthly payment. Knowing there was only a small margin between the MSRP and invoice price, I didn't have high expectations on discounts.
