Buying a 2012 Mitsubishi RVR, and saving $4000 off of MSRP.
Well, I read a lot about the strategies of negotiating a new car price, and followed some of the advices I found in some of the websites I visited.
Being a very practical person, I prepared an excel spreadsheet with the price obtained from My CCC report, added a fair dealership profit, placed my offer on the table and effectively saved $3,200 off the initial price (MSRP + fees) that had been given to me by one of the salesmen at the dealership a week earlier. I was lucky that I was actually dealing with the fleet manager - Mike Kachkar, Southside Mitsubishi, Edmonton. I believe that made all the difference.
