CarCostCanada was quick and easy to use. They gave me great information to help me negotiate a better deal than I would have received otherwise. The dealership was more disappointing. They promised a truck in a week that was supposed to be transported from their other dealership in Etobicoke- but they fabricated a story and told us the truck was sold. Bought the truck 2 months later after many calls.

Buying a 2017 Chevrolet Volt, and saving $3000 off of MSRP.
This has been passed over to GM as well. I had issues during this purchase that were specific to the dealership. During the paperwork I caught that the admin fee had increased from $199 to $499 for some reason. This was corrected as soon as I noticed, but I was offered no explanation as to why this happened. I was also concerned that a proper PDI was not performed on the vehicle itself. The gas cap was disconnected (resulting in my bringing the car to Nurse Chev Olds in Whitby for warranty repair) and the tires were not inflated to the specs being called for on a 2017 Volt. The sales experience was ok at best however I did have to follow up repeatedly during the week and a half to question on where the car was (this had to be sourced from a dealership in Cornwall) and when I was going to be able to take delivery. I find that emails were not being answered in a timely fashion which is a concern as I do not always have the time to call and attempt to connect to the sales representative. I made the choice of the Chevy Volt myself before walking into this dealership and used CarCostCanada.COM to identify the specific prices. I also knew where the inventory of the cars were located (as siren red was going to be a difficult color to locate) so in my mind this was going to be an easy transaction. It had been 10 years since I had purchased my 2007 Pontiac G5 GT and that seemed to be a much easier experience.   I appreciate that my sales representative understood the ins/outs of the Chevy Volt but I kept getting the feeling that I was supposed to feel thankful/rewarded that they found the car I wanted instead of being appreciative of purchasing a new vehicle through Roy Foss.   I am very happy with my purchase. The Volt is the perfect vehicle for my lifestyle. I think the purchase experience could be improved from the dealership model by having the sales associates be more engaged and responsive and provide the feedback when customers ask. I shouldn't have had to chase for my answers on this. Thanks for providing the opportunity for feedback.

Great dealer.. easy to deal with. Honest and knowledgeable! No discount even though I had CCC report because the Volt is selling at MSRP at the moment.. Sean gave me extra $$ on my trade in! Top Notch service!

The price negotiation starts at the reasonable middle of the ground price between MSRP and the invoice price. For a hot selling car, there isn't much room beyond that. But it is a heck of a lot better than a non-CarCostCanada dealer that promised a "SMOKING" deal that is a grand total of $49 dollars off MSRP of more than $30k upon initial contact. WOW, what a smoking deal I got!

Chose the dealer as they e-mailed me after I had requested the CarCost report. They said they would honour the price. Sort of correct. Search the dealer inventory first, build your price report based on exactly what they have in stock and don't talk about a trade in. They continually avoided discussing the price and wanted to refer to bi-weekly payment cost.

Roy Foss Thornhill was straight up with "out the door and on the road" quote. Manfred worked with my tight schedule and had my Cruze LTZ RS ready in less than 2 hours...I was out the door and on the road. I would recommend this dealerhship without hesitation. This was my first brand new car....it was an awsome experience...thanks to all!!!

Roy Foss Chevrolet was open about the costs, factory rebates, and margin that the dealership expected to receive. The combination of model and options that I wanted wasn't immediately available so I elected to order it. There was no pressure to buy a car off the lot. Dealer extras (extended warranty, rust protection) were explained to me but there was no pressure to buy them. I considered several makes/models and narrowed it down to three. The wholesale prices were very valuable in comparing what I could actually expect to pay.

Research all possible manufacturer offered discounts as detailed on the Car Cost Canada report for the vehicle you intend to purchase, know the lending rates offered, know the markup.
