My savings included an $8500 rebate to the dealer from Acura and I was able to negotiate a purchase price 3% over invoice. Thank you CarCost. Going on the very last day of the month is also good, but could limit some flexibility unless you are extremely certain of the purchase. Secondly, calculate the margins and be up front to tell them the margin they'll make. The Dealer appreciates that. Thirdly, dealerships make the manufacturer rebates back, so be careful to negotiate around the rebate to ensure you get an optimal discount. | | |
