Buying a 2012 Volkswagen Eos, and saving $7000 off of MSRP.
I was negotiating with a dealer before I joined Car Cost Canada. When I gave them the CCC wholesale price and asked them to make their best offer - I suggested between 3 and 5 % profit not the 11% that they originally quoted they would not go below 5% and also had a number of other charges eg. anti theft manditory at $175.00. The recommended CCC dealer contacted me by email in the middle of my nagotiations. Right up front suggested 2.9 % profit and listed a number of items that were no charge plus we were offered extended warranty at $500 off.
Saving were signifigant and the dealer was 10 km closer that the original dealer.
