Mr. from Parksville, BC reported on Thursday, December 27, 2007, buying a 2008 Honda Accord Sdn, and saving $2,000 off of MSRP.
The new vehicle is the same model and equipment as the vehicle that I currently own. Also, my present vehicle was purchased from the same dealer. This fact, plus the knowledge that I was a Car Cost Member, made the deal very fast and good for both parties.

Rhonda from Nanaimo, BC reported on Wednesday, September 09, 2009, buying a 2009 Honda Civic Sdn, and saving $1,000 off of MSRP.
Consumer reports ratings as well as past ownership of Honda vehicle along with best cash deal. Dealer was informed I had done my "homework" via internet and had consulted Car Cost Canada on specific model purchased. First dealer price given was refused, I countered with $1000 under and settled for $717 less.

Nanaimo Honda - unethical, shady and no integrity....... turned about a 9/10 to a 1/10 at deal close. Sealed the deal 31 Jan 2012 gave credit card number for deposit, got the whole "congratulations, you are now the proud new owner......". Incentive changed from $3500 ==> $4000 for Feb and I asked to re-negotiate. The response was, "sorry, this deal was for January under the January incentive program." Ok, I can live with and respect that...... but then they turned on a dime, delayed and did paperwork for February 1, had me redo deposit in house 1 February and they walked off with the extra $500 for the new incentive. They even scoffed and confessed that I would not have received the deal I got without them knowing that the incentive was going to change in their favor. I will not go into the staff and their very inappropriate side conversations, not intended to be overheard, slamming and laughing at other customers.......$500 is not much compared to the deal I received, but the being "had" by the dealership in such a fashion...... for shame.

Steven from Duncan, BC reported on Saturday, March 01, 2008, buying a 2008 Honda CR-V, and saving $2,500 off of MSRP.
We chose the CRV after driving, both, it and the RAV4 and comparing various road test reports and vehicle pricing. My wife felt that the CRV drove better for her and we both agreed it was roomier and had a nicer interior finish. Once a salesman at a different dealership acknowledged that the wholesale price report was accurate it made our negotiations much easier as we possessed more information than we ever had before when purchasing or leasing a vehicle. We purchased our vehicle from Nanaimo Honda, although the negotiated price was similar to another dealer, we felt much more welcomed there and there was a much less adversarial feeling during the negotiating process. We also e-mailed a large number of dealers within a 200 km radius asking for a quotation and were pleasantly surprised by how many actually forwarded us a price and were a bit surprised by the huge variation in pricing--it really does pay to shop!

Have a copy of report issued by Car Cost Canada and be prepared to negotiate.

Jason from Salt Spring Island, BC reported on Tuesday, January 25, 2011, buying a 2011 Honda Odyssey, and saving $2,000 off of MSRP.
I chose the 2011 Honda Odyssey based on the overhaul of the vehicle for 2011. I chose Nanaimo Honda as they had the exact vehicle that I wanted. I completed an offer sheet based on the Whole sale price with a mark up of 4%. I provided the offer sheet to the sales person and they accepted the offer with no hassles.
