Roger from Calgary, AB reported on Thursday, February 25, 2010, buying a 2010 Ford Edge, and saving $3,000 off of MSRP.
The sales rep (Aleem) was great to work with. The same day that I received my report from CCC, Aleem contacted me. After a test drive with the family and a few days to consider our options, we sat down to negotiate OUR price. The CCC report gave us the confidence to walk in with a FAIR offer and the negotiations lasted no more than 10 minutes and was probably the easiest vehicle purchase we've ever completed. We saved just over $2500 before the factory to customer incentives.

Ken from Calgary, AB reported on Friday, July 31, 2009, buying a 2009 Ford Edge, and saving $10,000 off of MSRP.

Jim from Red Deer, AB reported on Monday, May 26, 2008, buying a 2008 Ford Edge, and saving $3,000 off of MSRP.
Having an idea of what the dealer paid vs. what the dealer wanted me to pay was a huge benefit. We were able to get the best quotes right off the top, which made comparison shopping the different models much easier. Make sure ALL your specifics including colours are specified in writing, avoid any last minute delivery "surprises". Very much enjoyed dealing with Jim McDonald, a gentleman in the truest sense of the word.

Darren from Calgary, AB reported on Saturday, April 09, 2011, buying a 2011 Ford Escape, and saving $10,000 off of MSRP.
I offered 3% over invoice & they took it! With the Rebates, it worked out to almost $10K in savings. I almost paid full price for this vehicle a few weeks earlier when they were offering 0% financing for 72 months! We are going to pay cash, but even if we used our line of credit, it certainly would not have been anything close to the savings enjoyed by your suggestions. . . . . I highly recommend not only using www.CarCostCanada.com, but doing your negotiations over the internet or e-mail, as it saved us hours of negotiating had we originally gone to the dealership! We just went there to sign the papers & were out of there in less than an hour.

Christina from Calgary, AB reported on Tuesday, November 03, 2009, buying a 2010 Ford Escape, and saving $6,000 off of MSRP.
When I ran the Wholesale Price Report, the dealer actually contacted me. Because he knew that I'd run the report, he started the negotiations with a great offer.

CHERYL from CROSSFIELD, AB reported on Sunday, May 03, 2009, buying a 2009 Ford Escape, and saving $2,000 off of MSRP.
Daniel went the extra step on everything. Knowing that I had the Car Cost Report there was a fair deal right from the first phone call.

Douglas from Grande Prairie, AB reported on Friday, December 05, 2008, buying a 2008 Ford Escape, and saving $10,000 off of MSRP.
I chose make and model due to the large delivery allowance. I chose the dealer after checking inventory online of about 30 dealers. They had the closest match of a vehicle with our desired options. A simple e-mail referencing CarCost Canada got us started on what ended up being a good deal. We actually started dealing with 3 dealers and defaulted to the one with our most desired vehicle.

Shannan from Sylvan Lake, AB reported on Monday, May 12, 2008, buying a 2008 Ford Escape, and saving $2,500 off of MSRP.
We originally went to Festival Ford in Red Deer for a new Ford Escape, and showed them the Wholesale Price Report. The saleslady had no idea what that was, but the sales manager agreed to that price plus 3%. However, Metro Ford in Calgary contacted us by email (through Carscost Canada) and offered us the wholesale price plus 3% and free oil changes, so we wanted something extra out of Festival Ford. Festival absolutely refused. They refused their own $250 coupon, any free oil changes, a bug deflector, nothing extra if we got the wholesale price plus 3%. So we left. Later, Metro Ford in Calgary phoned and offered us wholesale price only, no extra 3% (and a bug deflector). It was great. We were so happy that we didn't buy from Festival Ford in Red Deer. Metro ford in Calgary was so nice, helpful, and really wanted our business. Thank you to Cars Cost Canada, it was soooo worth it. Oh yeah, and we love our new Ford Escape!

I pretty much got laughed out of the show room at Advantage Ford when I said I was a Car Cost Can. member. Totally lost a customer there! So I went to Metro Ford (recommended by CCC), and was treated with respect, no hassle and got a great deal. I offered 3% profit for them and they went for it without hassle. |Got great factory incentives of $8500! Great service from CCC and Metro Ford.

deborah from Vernon, BC reported on Tuesday, December 22, 2009, buying a 2010 Ford F-150, and saving $10,000 off of MSRP.
All the information was relevant and useful in negotiations. Could not have been more helpful- it was clear that we were going to get a great price. With the incentives we saved $ 12,000. Excluding incentives we saved $3000 from full price MSRP- well worth the subscription price!

Gerard from Calgary, AB reported on Sunday, November 22, 2009, buying a 2010 Ford F-150, and saving $10,000 off of MSRP.
They were prepared to sell me the truck at dealer cost, no mark up. Most dealers sell you the car and then say plus taxes of $120.00. $100.00 Air conditioning tax and $20.00 tire tax. Note, the air conditioning tax $100.00 is included in the dealer sticker. Do not let them charge you twice for this. The wholesale price report proved valuable as a check against what the dealer quoted me. They were identical.

Randy from Calgary, AB reported on Tuesday, March 16, 2010, buying a 2010 Ford F-150, and saving $5,000 off of MSRP.
Be up front and let your sales rep know you ran a dealer cost report and start negotiating from the cost up instead of the MSRP downwards.

The dealer rep provided other options with no strings attached that appeared to be in my interest. Open discussions where held about what I wanted and what it would take to earn my business. I informed the dealer rep of my expectations and what information I had. Also be upfront, this report allows you not to have to play the buying a car game, negotiations.

We checked out a number of car models that met our criteria and found the Ford Flex to be an excellent pick and a good deal. Dealing with Metro Ford was easy, and their willingness to work with us was greatly appreciated.

I used the recommended dealer, used the wholesale report and 3% to 6% margin as a basis for negotiation down from the retail price. Since it was the end of the model year, this dealer was one of the few in Calgary with the model that we wanted in stock.

Mervin from Calgary, AB reported on Monday, February 23, 2009, buying a 2009 Ford Fusion, and saving $9,000 off of MSRP.
Persistence is the key; don't be afraid to walk way if you're not getting the deal you're looking for. The prices on Ford Vehicles are never going to be this low again. The delivery allowance on the 2009 Fusion SLE was $6,500 plus dealer negotiated discount plus $500.00 worth of accessories from Ford.

Because I had a Car Cost report the dealer started from invoice price and we worked from there.

James from Calgary, AB reported on Wednesday, November 12, 2008, buying a 2008 Ford Ranger, and saving $2,500 off of MSRP.
The dealer confirmed the wholesale price and only added $250. I had a quote from another dealer on a similar vehicle and that dealer was offering me a higher value for my trade-in. I used that to get a discount on the dealer prep cost and protection package.

B from Calgary, AB reported on Saturday, August 09, 2008, buying a 2008 Ford Ranger, and saving $1,500 off of MSRP.
I chose this deal because it was recommended by CarCost and the dealer contacted me by email. I was not disappointed and found that negotiation was very easy as I already had the price given to me by CarCost (paid dealer cost less rebates plus 3% - was all outlined by the dealer at the start). Easy and painless...very pleased!

The dealer had the same Carcost report that I had and offered a 3% over cost price right from the start. Other dealers didn't seem interested in moving from their original offer which was 2000- 2500 higher
