I saved $2750.00 by using Car Cost and found it very easy to make a deal along with getting extras to boot. The salesman appreciated seeing the car cost report. I would recommend this sales person and dealership to all my friends, and have.

In areas like Saskatchewan where businesspeople may own several dealerships, it is important to inquire at the few competing dealerships that exist. One Sales Manager in Regina told me that his dealership "loves taking business from Saskatoon." I offered wholesale + 5% and he agreed immediately. No hassle whatsoever. He faxed and emailed me the quote, which I took to a competing dealership in Saskatoon. Previously, they were only willing to budge several hundred dollars. However, they were "Don't lose deals to Regina" and my offer was subsequently taken. Car Cost Canada made this purchase very painless.

ANDREA from Saskatoon, SK reported on Friday, November 05, 2010, buying a 2010 Honda Civic Sdn, and saving $1,000 off of MSRP.
Used price report to understand all the deals that were available (loyalty dollars, cash back, financing incentives), and to compare deals available between different models in similar price range (Fit vs Civic vs Mazda vs Hyundai). Plugged the numbers into a spreadsheet to have my "no way they'll take it price" and the "here's where they'll start" price - almost bang on - except they did take the low-ball price when they knew I was willing to go to another dealership. Waiting to the last selling day in the month and picking a model with higher inventory levels on the lot also meant they were more willing to deal. The price report gave me a lot of confidence to know what was reasonable to negotiate. Thanks!

This is the only Honda dealer in Saskatoon. We had bought a 2007 Civic from Brad and have been pleased with the service and the car. The Fit was highly rated and in our budget. New purchasers should be aware that they will not be able to bargain on the retail price of the Fit because it is in high demand. Also, there are costs that Car Cost does not mention, such as the tire recycling fee and the additional charges for installation of the block heater, floor mats, and the special locking lug nuts for the alloy wheels on the Fit Sport. There was also a fee of $175 for vehicle theft/damage insurance. These and other charges added nearly a thousand dollars to the list price. The credit people really try to sell the extended warranty, which is ironic because the Hondas is supposed to be so reliable!
