Greg from N. Saanich, BC reported on Wednesday, July 04, 2012, buying a 2013 Ford Escape, and saving $1,000 off of MSRP.
It is actually very difficult to tell what my saving was as it was very difficult to establish a value for my trade in. In addition the employee pricing event was in place and so the car was already marked down considerably which was surprising as it was a 2013 and a brand new type. I did pay full price including a 495 "document and administration" cost but I had actually just dealt on the price differential between my trade and the Escape. Having the information from Car Cost was extremely helpful as it gave me a base to work from. Also I had several questions which were answered by Car Cost on the phone in help line. The woman I spoke to on the phone was courteous, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. All in all it was $40.00 very well spent. The only suggestion I have is that you don't fall in love with the car. You have to be prepared to walk away and go elsewhere. Thanks

Walked in with CARCOSTCANADA numbers and a quote from the recommended dealer {who was to far away to use} and got the price I wanted to pay with very little discussion.

Larry from Duncan, BC reported on Wednesday, December 08, 2010, buying a 2010 Ford F-150, and saving $10,000 off of MSRP.
Chose the dealer due to selection and had the vehicle we wanted. Very good incentives offered by Ford at the time of purchase. Wholesale Price report was very useful and saved us significantly from what we had originally considered settling on. At the time of negotiations simply advised had the dealer invoice price, offered a 3% profit, and subtracted all incentives coming up with a fair price. Negotiations were very simple and straight forward as a result and Dealership was willing to settle.

Keep an eye on additional fees. A Ford Dealership in the Lower Mainland that I was communicating with through email had included an Environmental Fee of almost $500. I couldn't find references to this anywhere. Glen Oak has a Documentation Fee of $495. This sounds like a lot of money. It would have also been helpful to know how flexible they could be with Graduate Program Incentive ($750). I would also liked to have been better prepared as to fair pricing for extended warranties and maintenance programs. I paid $700 for a 7 year extended warranty and 1300 for a regular maintenance program for 5 years. I am thinking that I could have done better here but don't know. The information you gave was very valuable. It allowed me to negotiate from a knowledge base - THANKS!
