| Jon from Saint John, NB reported on Thursday, November 05, 2009, buying a 2009 Honda Accord Sedan, and saving $3,000 off of MSRP. It's good to know the price before you start shopping. The dealer was a strict with the price, but he had to bring the car in from another Province, and it was the only one in the region with the options and colors I wanted. The $3000 off was advertised at the dealer for remaining 2009 models. Car Cost Canada is awesome for comparing prices of different vehicles, since it accurately lists options and features of selected cars. | ![]() | |

| JENNA from SAINT JOHN, NB reported on Tuesday, April 07, 2009, buying a 2009 Honda Civic Sdn, and saving $2,500 off of MSRP. First off, having the wholesale price report (wpr) gave me the confidence to go in and start negotiations. I knew right away that I wasn't going to pay full price for this vehicle. If you have the time, it's best to walk through the vehicle with all the added features you want and get a final price, without trade-in or discounts. Also = the wpr let me know what to expect for discounts, and basically I went from there. Once I knew what the price was without any negotiations - I said that I wanted some money knocked off the msrp or I would walk. With that said, I showed them my wpr and then things started rolling. On the specific vehicle I bought, they don't have a whole lot of markup room - so when they wouldn't discount the msrp anymore, I told them to throw in the rust protection, fabric protection and a new set of all season mats and they had a deal - so basically like $700 in extras plus the $1,100 they knocked off the msrp. Also I had a trade-in and they gave me, what I thought was, a pretty fair value for the car. | ![]() | |
