Since Carcost e-mails the closest dealership with your contact info; you'll get a call back fron a dealer rep almost immmediatly. While this was a little disconcerting at first, it made the "tit-for-tat" price negotiation really fast & easy as it was all about how much of the mark up was the dealer willing to give up. The negotiation took minutes, as opposed to the multiple visits & phone calls that I'm used to.

Brian from Oakville, ON reported on Sunday, October 02, 2011, buying a 2011 BMW 3 Series, and saving $6,000 off of MSRP.
This is my second BMW 3 Series. Great car and with the maintenance package included makes the vechicle a great price/value ratio. Dealer is good and services the car well. Car Cost provides you with all the tools you need for hassle free negotiations....will never purchase/lease a vehicle without it!

robert from hamilton, ON reported on Monday, September 27, 2010, buying a 2011 BMW 3 Series, and saving $5,000 off of MSRP.
Take the car cost report. Figure out how much profit the dealer should have (4-6%). then work out the total sale price you are going to pay. Go in with this price and say this is my one and only offer. Let them know that you have a car cost report so they know you are serious.

Emanuel from Ancaster, ON reported on Saturday, May 29, 2010, buying a 2010 BMW 3 Series, and saving $3,000 off of MSRP.
I used the report for my information only, just to establish the foundation for negotiation.

Actual savings from MSRP about $11,000, including BMW incentives, but it was a demo, with 2 months of dealer use. I knew what I wanted, and was willing to wait. I found what I wanted (or near to it) on a dealer lot, and knew they wanted to move it because it was nearing the end of the year. Also, I did the deal at the end of month to give the dealership more incentive to get it off the lot.

The BMW 328i Touring was the perfect fit for our small family, I wanted something with great fuel economy, sporty, all wheel drive and room for kids and dog. What a great car. I chose Budd's BMW because it was the only dealer in the area with Touring models. I went into the dealership and told them I knew the wholesale cost. I let them make some money while making sure I felt like I got a good deal.

Phil from Oakville, ON reported on Monday, November 02, 2009, buying a 2009 BMW 3 Series, and saving $4,000 off of MSRP.
Budds' was great about dealing over email and phone. Straight forward and no nonsense. We dealt with 4 or 5 different scenarios and Matt handled all of them very well

CCC's service is perfect. The BMW 335D is the best out of the 3 series. It has unbelievable fuel efficiency, power, a smooth ride and the engine sounds like a V8. Car Cost Canada report helped out a lot. Made the purchase price negotiation very easy. Ryan Tanabe was a great guy and made the whole purchase of a car pleasant experience. I will recommend Ryan and Budds' Oakvile to anybody.

Earl from Toronto, ON reported on Sunday, July 13, 2008, buying a 2008 BMW 3 Series, and saving $6,000 off of MSRP.
I told him I had the cost particulrs, and it helped in the negotiations. But the deal was sealed by the trade in allowance. It really helped to know the cost price of the options

Two of us went in and bought a 535xi and a 528. They basically took 4% off the MSRP plus dealer incentives. We did not budge further on the price.

New car negotiations were easy thanks to carcost. The difficult part was the trade. You need to give more advice on that aspect of the deal.

Frank from Mississauga, ON reported on Tuesday, April 28, 2009, buying a 2009 BMW X3, and saving $3,000 off of MSRP.
The service is great!!! . . . Be upfront with the dealer and tell them that you want the 3-4% over invoice and tell them what it is, as it shows you are serious and that you have done your homework. Start your negotiation from there, but only after you have seen a copy of their typical bill-of-sale and the extras that you may be able to work in as well.

Janice from Dundas, ON reported on Monday, April 07, 2008, buying a 2008 BMW X3, and saving $2,000 off of MSRP.
I was already leasing a BMW (330i). They had a 3 month early lease recall (BMW Canada pays for 2 months and the dealer pays for 1 month). Along with the wholesale price they matched the monthly payment for an $1800 discount. Given that BMW is notorious for not offering discounts, I was very happy with this outcome. Thanks.
