The car was limited and discontinued.

Raymond from Toronto, ON reported on Tuesday, August 04, 2009, buying a 2009 Acura CSX, and saving $2,000 off of MSRP.
Referred to the dealer by a friend. I chose the vehicle as I was looking for a compact car that was more luxurious. I used the whole sale price as a basis for my negotiations and my final offer was 2.5% mark up.

Joshua from Thornhill, ON reported on Friday, March 27, 2009, buying a 2009 Acura CSX, and saving $2,500 off of MSRP.
Using the Wholesale Price Report, I was able to back calculate the discounts he was taking off the car from the get go. Once I knew the MRSP, he was working with in comparison to the whole sale price, I was able to essentially inform him that I knew what his profit margins were. I was unaware at the time that I was allowed a $1500 loyalty rebate and a reduction (1/4%) in my lease rate.

Research on the exact model and options you want to get for the car. Do not limit your option to the local dealers.

Cheap on gas and smooth drive. E-mailed wholesale price to a number of dealers, Acura of North Toronto was the cheapest.

Acura was offering great rebates on cash purchase for this car. So the difference in addition I saved thanks to carcostcanada made it even better. If they try to tell you rebates are based on after tax, you must argue. Don't let them get away with that!

David from Toronto, ON reported on Saturday, October 31, 2009, buying a 2009 Acura MDX, and saving $10,000 off of MSRP.
Excellent dealer - did not try to oversell! I used the invoice price as starting negotiations along with known incentives.

The wholesale price is a great tool going into negotiations as you can start from the wholesale price and work up to a profit the salesperson is comfortable with. It is very helpful in understanding if you are getting a good 'deal'.

vinny from MARKHAM, ON reported on Monday, August 11, 2008, buying a 2008 Acura MDX, and saving $4,000 off of MSRP.
The dealer has great sales people who are willing to answer all questions before/ during the test drive. The dealer itself, and the manager, is crappy and it's a turn off afterward. There were missing accessories, the car was not even washed clean on delivery, the leather and paint protection were not applied etc. The whole sale price is great to start the price negotiation point but lacks the information on accessories and the protection pricing which seems to be heavily affecting the bottom line number itself.

Victor from Thornhill, ON reported on Friday, July 04, 2008, buying a 2008 Acura MDX, and saving $8,000 off of MSRP.

BLAINEY from Toronto, ON reported on Sunday, October 21, 2007, buying a 2008 Acura MDX, and saving $2,500 off of MSRP.
We chose MDX as it had more storage capacity than LexusRDH350 for our dogs and had all options we wanted at $1500 less at MSRP. The dealer is close to us and was responsive to our offer after we mentioned we had wholesale report from CarCostCanada. I believe using your report saved us both money and unnecessary time negotiating. We will definitely use the service again when we purchase another car.

Kevin from Richmond Hill, ON reported on Tuesday, April 01, 2008, buying a 2008 Acura MDX, and saving $10,000 off of MSRP.
Total savings includes the Factory-to-Dealer incentive (which is passed on automatically to the customer) of $6,500. I found the wholesale price report very helpful in knowing a good deal. It made the negotiations very easy with one dealer over the phone, but I also had personal connections with that dealer such that I think it was easier to discuss the deal with them as well. I ultimately went with another dealer (Acura of North Toronto) due to loyalty and location, and was able to negotiate a better deal with them as I knew what my top price was from discussions with the other dealer. It was tough negotiations, partially because I had to deal with the sales rep and the sales manager, but the deal was finally approved.

Total savings included a $3,500 cash rebate and $1,500 competitor rebate. The salesman we like, the manager and the financial adviser we didn't care about. We have caught the manager a few times playing with the numbers. He would print out his own copy and sign it but it would differ ever so slightly from the one we have signed. Our best advice is not to listen to anything what their financial adviser is telling you. She just wants the client to buy into their their extended warranty or finance with banks with absurd high rates 8.19% she quoted for us for a four year financing rate. We have regretted a few times we didn''t get back to Sterne Acura. The manager seems much nicer and honest. Acura North Toronto gave us the best deal however. They kept just 1.3% of the profit, but we think the salesman might have made a mistake on his end. Car Cost Canada report helps a lot with negotiation. Once they see the report they are aware that they better come up with a good deal. Much less hassle with negotiation. Our best advice is, do research beforehand! Shop around with different car dealerships and showing the car cost canada report. Go to next car dealership with quote from previous. You will know when you have maxed out your discounts when the quotes don''t drop significantly anymore. See if you can have better financing rates somewhere else. Don''t sign for 8% financing rates, especially the way the economy is right now. Don''t fall into the trap where they try to sell you extended warranties by providing you with wrong information. Check all numbers over and over again before signing the sales contract.

Michael from Woodbridge, ON reported on Tuesday, December 30, 2008, buying a 2009 Acura RDX, and saving $8,000 off of MSRP.
I basically used the tips in the report (took 3% of wholesale, deducted all the incentives, etc.) to get to the price I wanted to pay. They were motivated to sell given the time of year (year end) so I was prepared to walk if I didn't get my price. I also had a competing car in mind and they tried very hard to get me to buy the car vs. the competing model. Bear in mind that they try to include some items such as vehicle etching and registration, locking wheel nuts - I tried to get them to cancel those but they said these were non-negotiable - I considered it part of the dealer profit and so I wasn't too concerned. The dealer tried working from an "on the road" price - just make sure you can work backwards to get to the vehicle cost and then determine what profit the dealer is making.

IMI from Toronto, ON reported on Friday, January 21, 2011, buying a 2009 Acura RDX, and saving $3,000 off of MSRP.
Excellent service. It was very simple to use. Great product, highly recommended. I would also recommend David Yip for Sales. David didn't play any games, and he was excellent at following up with emails and phone calls. Teena Edwards for customer service, love her! She is very accommodating, pleasant, caring ...the best! I Rate them 11 out of 10 :)

Flexible hours of the dealership. Good location for test driving. Sales rep is able to provide in-depth knowlege of the car, and also able to compare other car with you. Show effort in negoiating with manager to get you the most best deal.

E-mail the cash amount over the invoice price that you are willing to pay. Send this amount to as many dealers as possible and agree on a final price over the phone. Go to the dealer and then discuss any changes such as trade-ins but never lose track of the agreed price on the phone.

Jeff from North York, ON reported on Friday, August 28, 2009, buying a 2009 Acura TL, and saving $5,000 off of MSRP.
Harris from Acura North Toronto was very open to discussing an equitable profit margin based on the Car Cost Canada report. We landed on a 4.5% dealer profit right away. We then spent a while verifying that all of the factory rebates were applied properly and whether they were applicable before or after tax. At the end, I ended up paying $500 below dealer cost for the exact vehicle that I wanted. The Car Cost Canada report simplified the negotiation process and ensured that I was comfortable with the price I paid. Definitely worth the subscription fee and I would highly recommend this service.

Just take the printed Wholesale Price Report with you to make the deal. Dealers seem to respect this information in negotiating, but be careful that the Salesman does not add on residual costs, to offset these savings.
