I think you are providing a very good service for the consumers. . . . . Beware of sales rep insisting on a mandatory "Protector Plus" insurance ($345) for the car. I called Honda and they told me there is no such requirement. Honda called the dealership and they erased the item from the final invoice.

The dealer selection was [due to a] referral from a family member. The report helped reduce the negotiation time and set the price range that I'd expect from the dealer.

Knowing the markup of other vehicles helped me determine which car to buy.

The dealer does participate with CarCostCanada but I leveraged the CarCost invoice report to negotiate a good price. I did not get the invoice price but I was able save a couple of thousand dollars.

Nicholas from Markham, ON reported on Sunday, May 02, 2010, buying a 2010 Acura MDX, and saving $4,000 off of MSRP.
Most comfortable SUV we test drove. The dealership was in the area where we live. Start negotiation from the invoice price - incentives.

Jeff from Markham, ON reported on Thursday, April 16, 2009, buying a 2009 Acura MDX, and saving $10,000 off of MSRP.
Test drove the MDX really helped me to make my decision in addition to the cash back incentive from Acura. The dealer location is convenient since I live in Markham. The report helped to understand what kind of incentives were available and the specifications or features of the vehicle.

Janet from Aurora, ON reported on Monday, December 07, 2009, buying a 2009 Acura MDX, and saving $10,000 off of MSRP.
We were dealing with Sterne Acura in Aurora but the salesman did not want to phone around for the vehicle colour my husband wanted, he said it was no longer available for the 2009 model. We went home and called Markham Acura and they had the colour we wanted in the showroom. My husband made an offer, the salesman asked if we had the Car Cost Canada report and he said yes, and the deal was done in minutes. The original salesman from Aurora called the next day to see if we were still interested and we told him we had bought the vehicle elsewhere. Then he said he would have made the call for us if we had wanted. We had asked him directly to do that and he could not be bothered. Too bad since he had spent the time with us during the test drives etc. So really the salesman in Markham did very little work for the sale so it is hard to evaluate.

Hugh from Toronto, ON reported on Thursday, August 06, 2009, buying a 2009 Acura MDX, and saving $4,000 off of MSRP.
I saved just under 3,000 plus got free wheel locks. In addition, I got the manufacturer savings of $8500, so over 25% off the RSP. If it was not for such great manufacturer savings, I believe many models can be purchased for less than 3% above wholesale. On the other models I heard that $500 - $800 above wholesale is possible, but that is stretching it when you already are getting the $8500 discount.

Herman from Unionville, ON reported on Thursday, June 04, 2009, buying a 2009 Acura MDX, and saving $4,000 off of MSRP.
I walked into the dealer with the wholesale price report and started negotiations from there. I found this worked very well!

Be prepared, print out the CarCost report. Get black book estimates on your trade in. Have a set price in your mind, be firm. Acura in Markham, was the only Acura dealer contacted who accepts to deal using CarCost's quote. Very honest and upfront dealer, both Dave & sales Mgr are easy to deal with. Also contacted 3 Lexus dealers in Toronto area, but none returned my call. Must be nice to be so independant. Thank you CarCost Canada.

Anil from Markham, ON reported on Friday, March 20, 2009, buying a 2009 Acura MDX, and saving $5,000 off of MSRP.

Paul from Toronto, ON reported on Monday, December 22, 2008, buying a 2009 Acura MDX, and saving $10,000 off of MSRP.
With the price reports I negotiated the entire deal via email and telephone. No dealing with a sales rep who had to run back and forth to his sales manager.

BORIS from RICHMOND HILL, ON reported on Thursday, March 13, 2008, buying a 2008 Acura MDX, and saving $4,000 off of MSRP.
This dealer is realy good. Talk to Ab or Garry (manager); they open all the numbers for you, there's no hidden info and the result is a very fair deal.

David from Markham, ON reported on Wednesday, April 16, 2008, buying a 2008 Acura MDX, and saving $2,500 off of MSRP.

Michael from toronto, ON reported on Thursday, September 25, 2008, buying a 2008 Acura MDX, and saving $10,000 off of MSRP.
The CCC report gives you the power. You know the numbers when you go in. So rather than working the dealer down, you start with the wholesale price, minus the rebates and give them their profitability.

No haggle situations when you have dealer invoice. Very efficient process.

Gilbert from Richmond Hill, ON reported on Thursday, June 03, 2010, buying a 2010 Acura RDX, and saving $4,000 off of MSRP.
Be careful when after negotiating on a price they don't try to play around with the numbers saying it works out the same in the end. We ended up paying 200 more than agreed upon price

David from Markham, ON reported on Tuesday, July 20, 2010, buying a 2010 Acura RDX, and saving $2,000 off of MSRP.
I would recommend to arm yourself with the report. Walk in to a dealership and ask for a higher discount than what the report suggests. (I should have done that). There are factory rebates to the dealer we are not aware of and is not on the report. I should have asked whether the car is in the lot as well but did not do that either and turned out to be there already (more incentive for the dealer to sell the vehicle to you!) One advantage of showing the report to the salesperson makes the transaction quick and painless. I gave 4% above wholesale price, the handshake came immediately and it was a deal. Quick and simple without hackle through more B.S.

Kelvin from Richmond Hill, ON reported on Thursday, September 15, 2011, buying a 2010 Acura RDX, and saving $2,500 off of MSRP.
Just walked in, test drove the car on the same day and we offered $500 over invoice. Sales said they were unable to do it. We got up and was driving out the parking lot and the sales runs out at us and says he could do it.

Farouk from Markham, ON reported on Thursday, March 05, 2009, buying a 2009 Acura RDX, and saving $10,000 off of MSRP.
I have dealt with Markham Acura before when I had leased a new TSX from them. As negotiators they are reasonably good but their after sales service is exceptionable. I have now leased an 2009 RDX Tech Package from them. My experience with Joe was for the first time and I found him patient, respectful and responsive to the customer.

Tony from Richmond Hill, ON reported on Wednesday, August 05, 2009, buying a 2009 Acura RDX, and saving $6,000 off of MSRP.
I was a lease renewal so the savings (loyalty incentives on the purchase price and interest rate) were much higher than if this was a new lease or purchase. Acura picked up my 2 remaining payments on my TSX, I bought down the lease rate, and they took care of the minor scratches on the lease rental ($650). Plus a few extra accessories make this a great deal. Obviously it pays to be brand loyal.

Jimmy from Toronto, ON reported on Tuesday, May 27, 2008, buying a 2008 Acura RDX, and saving $6,000 off of MSRP.

Dan from Aurora, ON reported on Wednesday, May 07, 2008, buying a 2008 Acura RDX, and saving $4,000 off of MSRP.
This car purchase was for my sister. I gave her the research, she then contacted several dealers and a broker seeing who could get the price down to the lowest. The most important thing was she was willing to walk away from the deal. When they couldn't find the color she wanted, she told them she would wait another year or two before buying. Two days later they found her color.

Do not specify how you will pay (cash/finance/or lease). Just negotiate the price of the car first. And if you are leasing, ask for the full disclosure lease print out when you are signing off the deal.

Joyce from Mississauga, ON reported on Friday, December 10, 2010, buying a 2010 Acura TSX, and saving $1,500 off of MSRP.
The total savings were after the manufacturer rebate and the Christmas bonus. The sales rep did an excellent job.

Henry from Richmond Hill, ON reported on Saturday, October 03, 2009, buying a 2009 Acura TSX, and saving $4,000 off of MSRP.
I just showed him the report and used the wholesale price as the starting point for the negotiation.

It shortened the back and forth buying experience. Which I love!

Phu from Richmond Hill, ON reported on Tuesday, November 20, 2007, buying a 2008 Acura TSX, and saving $7,000 off of MSRP.
The vehicle offered $4500 in manufacturer rebates, as well, they were willing to accept a purchase price of 3% above dealer invoice price (which dropped it an additional ~$1700 off). The sales portion of the dealer was great (My method was faxing every Acura dealership with my offer price and negotiate a selling price via phone). The actual delivery of the vehicle was poor. The process of picking up the vehicle was behind schedule and the person in charge wasn't very thorough in terms of showing the features of the car, he also forgot a lot of administrative details and followed up with forgotten items the following day.

Get a broker if you do not have time to run around, to be absolutely sure that all bases are covered.
